Stroke is the leading cause of disability in the United States today. It is estimated that over 3 million adults are living with the effects of a stroke. Every 3 and one-half minutes someone dies from a stroke, yet every minute and twenty seconds someone in the U.S. survives a stroke. You are probably working with many of these stroke survivors in your facility.

Educating healthcare personnel on the topic of stroke is both exciting and entertaining.  It is amazing how much collective energy comes together during a seminar as we learn and grow together in our common goals of reaching difficult patients and residents. Whether it be communicating with people with aphasia, working with individuals with strong visual neglect, or adapting for paralysis we work through the tough issues and find potential solutions.

This one-day seminar covers the basics of stroke physiology and how to rehabilitate stroke patients more effectively.  You will leave with the tools and resources to work with your own patients and to train staff at your facility.
